世界湖沼会議は、1984年に滋賀県の提唱により開かれた「世界湖沼環境会議」の後身として、世界各地で開催されてきました。以来、同会議は研究者・行政担当官・NGOや市民等が一堂に集まり、世界の湖沼及び湖沼流域で起こっている多種多様な環境問題やそれらの解決に向けた取り組みについての議論や意見交換の場となっています。

そして昨年に新型コロナウイルスの蔓延で延期されたメキシコ・グアナファト大学からの開催が今年、実現！オンラインを主体とした開催で、滋賀県もスペシャルセッションに参加します！

8月と10月に開催されたMLGsグローバルミーティングの第3回として、リスナーも無料で募集しています！

The World Lake Conference has been held in various parts of the world as a successor to the World Lake Conference on the Environment, which was proposed by Shiga Prefecture in 1984. Since then, the conference has become a forum for researchers, government officials, NGOs, citizens, and others to gather to discuss and exchange opinions on the various environmental problems occurring in the world’s lakes and lake basins and the efforts being made to solve them.

This year, the conference will be held at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico, which was postponed last year due to the spread of the coronavirus. This year, 2021, the University of Guanajuato in Mexico decided to hold the conference online.

This is the third edition of the MLGs Global Meeting held in August and October, and we are inviting viewers for free!
